-he thinks I should try some new stocks
-he said this is a perfect time for day trading( I think this is a good reminder because some of my stocks i have been protecting from the crash have been causing me not to focus on just playing with other stocks that could be making me money at this time)
-he said I should win and sell some stocks that are winning… I say this too but it reminded me to sell over 30% which I tend to end up holding on until it goes up and then back down to even.
-he said Andy P who is an artist that i got into trading told him, ” people waste money all the time and the stock market is another good place to waste it”
-he also said andy doesn’t check his stocks much
I forget what the stock is but I will edit it in later.
We were going to see my friend Andy’s art show in Williamsburg when he told me. It was cold I was in my hipster red skinny jeans, biker boots, a red plaid dress shirt, with a black sweater over it, a scarf, and a czech army jacket. Carter looked equally as artistic and I had my girlfriend dress in some sexy hipster artist look. It was snowing out and on the way walking to the subway Carter said I bought my first stock…
Carter was addicted to buying scratch off tickets. I mean his girlfriend would send him to the market to buy some food and he would come back with no food and a bunch of scratch off tickets. He is really intelligent and over analyzes things but with a sense of emotion. Overanalyzing is one of the reasons I think makes artists perfect for trading stocks.
His girlfriend was against him getting into the stock market especially because of the crash but I think she thought it could curve his liking of scratch offs.
Carter somehow sucked at winning in scratch offs. I mean he really had bad luck with it but that made him buy even more. So I said you should be trading stocks instead.
Now he is and he already has some interesting theories about the market…
oh and his girlfriend bought a stock too…

Responding to the blog where I said artists should sell their paintings to buy stocks
If they could sell their paintings they would not need the stock. If you can sell paintings - spend your time making paintings. Your return is likely better than 1000%.
It was in williamsburg brooklyn where artists have literally taken over the town. You can t find anyone without skinny jeans on. The artist are yuppy artists though since the price of living has really gone up there. So either they have a trust fund or they are working 60 hours a week either way they probably don’t really make art.
Anyway so we were hanging out and another one of my friends said the gallery he co-founded is making about 80% less a year and he was bought out by my other friend.
Well one of the reason’s I went to the party was I though that I could pick up some more work art handling with Dave the kid having the birthday party but I find out that he quit because the company he worked for wasn’t paying him and when they did pay him the check bounced.
We cheers to the recession and I say I love recessions because I have a good excuse not to work.
So I had a fun time talking to my artist friend warren who comments on here a lot who brought this sexy asian girl to the party. She was really nice and easily excitable.
Oh they were talking about whether Steve Jobs is really sick. My aunt died of pancreatic cancer so I am a bit weary. I actually hope he is alright.
Eric hates apple for some reason even though he uses one. I guess he hates dell and all the other brands even more ha.
On the way home in the subway i met this sexy black singer. I know I used sexy twice and actually i should erase the other sexy because this girl was really sexy. I hardly talk to people on the subway but we were having all these delays so people started chatting a bit.
This is one of the crazy parts riding home on the subway..
We had to change trains for no good reason and everyone had to get out of the subway. Everyone did except this one tall well dressed white guy with a depression hat on with gloves with no fingers reading a book. He was just leaning against the door of the subway half way in half way out reading. The conductor of the train yells on the speaker everyone out. He yells back Ffkdjk you I am not getting out of this train until there is another train here. Everyone is looking at this guy wondering what is he doing. He goes back to reading his book and I notice now it is a Kurt Vonnegut book. The conductors try to get him off but he yells back to them in this stern voice saying I am not leaving this train. He never did leave the train until the other one came.
I get home and I found out that I lost my $80 metrocard…. agggggggghhhh that is a 100 shares of midway stock.
Anyway it was a good night

i am going to put on a pair of skinny jeans and my biker books and a plaid shirt from unique( a japanese store that makes plaid shirts)
It is sort of cool that plaid shirts are cool to hipsters and also to people in small towns
so I can fit in with the hunters and the painters with the same outfit
